Approaching Differences: Remaining Present With Yourself in the Midst of Conflict

When entering a group discussion, hard conversation, or new experience feelings of dissonance are inevitable. What is less likely is our ability to engage our unacknowledged, unprocessed thoughts and feelings in a way that is healthy and helpful in real-time to meaningfully contribute to the group consistently. That is why we have our Approaching Differences Diagram Workshop with accompanying Skill Sheet and podcast. We can bring what is happening beneath the surface into the light so that we can make conscious choices informed by our deepest values, and communicate them clearly with those around us.

Our hope is to raise your level of self-awareness around how you think and feel and equip you to identify your thoughts and feelings and remain present to yourself amidst conflict and tension. Then you can determine how you will act intentionally to honor the image of God in yourself and those around you; and lead others to do the same.

These monthly Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) Workshops will be on the first Tuesday of every month at 12pm EST via Zoom. Each 75-minute experience will feature a space for orientation and training. Moreover, there will be opportunities for follow up and Q&A two weeks later. Patreon subscribers will have access to the videos and one-on-one trainings will be available upon request. You can subscribe to Patreon OR request a one-on-one or special group session here.

COST: These workshops are FREE! But if you would like to support our work, please donate $25 OR a subscribe on Patreon subscription at $1.25/month.
